Italian dual citizenship has many advantages including:
✅ Heritage: Reconnecting with your Italian Heritage and passing it on to future generations. When you become an Italian Dual Citizen by descent, any of your minor children become dual citizens as well. Adult children can apply for and obtain dual citizenship. And, your children can pass dual citizenship on to their children in perpetuity. Spouses can also apply for dual citizenship by marriage.
✅ Travel: The ability to travel, live, and stay as long as you want in Italy as well as any of the 27 EU countries. Americans, for example, are currently limited to staying just 90 days in any 6 month period in the EU (European Union).
✅ Work/business: As an Italian dual citizen, you open yourself up to employment options in 27 more countries since you are free to live and work in ANY EU nation. And, entrepreneurs can more easily start and run businesses in Europe when holding European citizenship.
✅ Property: Italian Dual Citizens can take advantage of special programs and tax benefits only available to citizens when buying property in Italy. Plus, obtaining financing can be much easier for an Italian citizen.
✅ Healthcare: As an Italian dual citizen, you become eligible to apply for the Tessera Sanitaria (Italian National Healthcare Card) which entitles you to receive free or very low cost healthcare in Italy and the EU.
✅ Education: You or your children can attend University in Europe. Many European universities are free or extremely low cost. And, many universities in Europe offer degree programs taught entirely in English!
